Coyote Point fishing is heating up. If you can find the Birds and bait there are sure to be some striped bass lurking beneath them. On April 16th my son and I headed out to the marshes of Coyote point for some striper actions. The day before my son was out there and the fish were hitting. Key to catching fish is timing the tides just right. You want to hit the tide about two hours before the high and an hour or so after. Bait of choice is anything top you that you like to throw. Fish were being caught on medium sized poppers (white and red), pearl and red spooks, and floating minnows and rebels. Evening bite seems to be best at this time. If you hit it at the right time you will get to enjoy watching stripers go airborn as they chase your lure! GOOD LUCK!

Perch Fishing Tutorial
3/5- 3/8 Forecast and Fishing Conditions
Current fishing conditions along the coast are outstanding. Well defined sand bars and structure with a very clean shore break are present. With a weather system approaching the seas have flattened significantly. With cloud cover increasing and a small swell I anticipate fishing to be very good this weekend. If you can only fish one day this weekend I would choose Sunday. With rain likely Saturday and moderate winds forecast. Saturday, while not a bad day to fish if you have rain gear will not be nearly as ideal as Sunday. Go Get some perch or early season stripers!
Swell for the weekend will range from 3-5 ft at 12 -13 sec.
